Melinda Leslie: "If not… why all this?"
Alien and Military Abductions

The abduction phenomenon has taken center stage, when it comes to UFO discussions. But few researchers have delved into the subject as Melinda Leslie, who takes it a step further. Quoting Budd Hopkins, "The heart of UFO investigations, is abduction" Melinda takes this quote a bit farther. She states "As a researcher; when one goes to investigate abductions, there are always walls... information missing, unavailable, or even tampered with or removed. This would lead one to believe that a cover-up is at work. And what is at the heart of a cover-up? It points only to one conclusion the government, using a body of the military to do its work."

This was the basis for Melinda's fascinating lecture in March. Melinda began her UFO interest in earnest in 1987, following a sighting in Sedona. Her interest piqued, and involved in New Age studies at the time, she pursued the subject. Taking several trips to the then accessible Area 51, Melinda's own childhood and current abduction experiences came to light. She also came to know; that her experiences were not only from the aliens (typical greys as well as Nordic types), but that there was abductions occurring by military as well. Rather than to succumb to a resignation of her fate as an abductee, Melinda has channeled her interest and energies into helping others with support groups and lectures, and doing research on the phenomena.

The military seems to be involved in the abduction of humans in two different scenarios. The abduction either follows an abduction by the aliens, and is basically a checkout or debriefing of the abductee, to discover what they may have learned while with the aliens. Or, there have been instances of joint military/alien abductions, with the military personnel either observing in the background... or used as intimidation.

In addition to the obvious effects of being abducted by aliens, there are several areas that are coming under new research. That is the fact that abductees often experience other Paranormal fallout (such as Poltergeist activity; that they or those near them have unusual healings; and that the abductees possess knowledge of alien technologies which is a of great interest to certain people. These things make the abductee a prime target for the military. Melinda has information that seems to point to the top government key men who are designing the top technologies, all started in PSI Research (remote viewing, etc.). There seems to be a strong component in dealing with the aliens on this direct mental level. Therefore, in order to better deal with the aliens or understand their technology; they must learn how the abductees communicate with the aliens and with their technology. It is said, that these key men are the current incarnation of MJ-12, and are known as The Advanced Theoretical Physics Working Group.

If one is an abductee, there are certain signs that you are a target of the military. There is harassment by men in suits having direct contact with the abductee, and who know amazing details of their experiences; ultra low overflights of black helicopters over abductees homes, or wherever they may be that have frequently been witnessed by others and photographed or videotaped; phone taps, interruptions, other voices on-line; being followed or under surveillance; mail tampering; and break-ins where only UFO related information is taken.

Melinda has some theories on the cover-up, and why the covert nature has been falling. She feels that there is a sense of desperation by the military to gain this information, and as such, they have become sloppy in their ability to cover-up their activities. Why is some harassment blatant? They want you to know they are doing it. They are letting us know that they are flying disc technology that they built. They are abducting people using alien technology. Their actions are compartmentalized, with many people involved. There are direct confrontations. And there are witnesses to the harassment.

How is the military able to know when an abductee is taken? Aside from the direct monitoring of an abductee, Melinda has learned that the DM5 spy satellite, while not designed for this purpose, is able to track "fast walkers"¾ the term used for unknown craft traveling at speeds beyond human technology. Records exist of this tracking, and some of them have been correlated directly to UFO activity on the ground. Two such events have been verified, the recent Colorado sightings and the famous sighting by the Iranian pilot. The question now to ask is, "Do we have satellites in orbit specifically designed for this search and tracking of UFO's? In the early days of the Space Shuttle, video feeds were live, and anyone with a satellite could view directly what the shuttle astronauts were sending to earth. Is it not strange now, that the video is on a delay? What is it that they do not want us to see?

Once the military has the abductee, there is interrogation that goes on. They want to know what they learned, what did the aliens tell you, what did they ask you about? They use Mind control, Drugs and Fear to accomplish the intimidation of the abductee. They often perform medical procedures, to either see what the aliens may have done, or to remove or put in an implant. Abductees are also put through psychic exercises and testing. And they are usually warned not to talk.

Why the military's interest in abductees and aliens? The first reason, could be the "keeping up with the Jones's idea" - and that the military wants to be on an even footing with the alien technology. If the military and aliens have interaction, they may be spying on them to keep them honest, just as humans spy on other "friendly" countries to make sure they are really friendly. If there is non-interaction with the aliens, then the military just plain wants to learn about them and what they can do. Another theory by Vance Davis (Gulf Breeze 6) is basically a Cold War theory. Our military wants to know the limits of alien technology; do they really have such control over us, are they capable of carrying out threats? And can we match or overcome their technology? Another area of interest is the PSI theory; since there is such a strong direct mental connection between aliens and abductees, it may also play apart in handling their technology. This is of great importance to the military.

Melinda has offered some ideas of evidence of abductions. In general, the abductee may find him or herself with one or many of these symptoms or evidence. Puncture marks, bruises, welts, cuts, and healed scars all appearing overnight. Rashes, hair loss, gynecological or urological problems, burn marks (radiation type). They may have odd soil samples, unusual x-rays, implants, my pass lie detector tests, have photos, have friends or family who witnessed an abduction and saw aliens, they may have documented missing time, and may have correlation between accounts with other abductees.

In addition, if there is a military component, other signs may be present. Those externally verifiable include, bruises, physical symptoms of drug administration (verified by lab tests), telephone interruption, mail tampering, photos of agents, being followed, break-ins with UFO related items stolen, direct confrontation with military or suit types, black helicopter harassments. Another possible future verifiable area would be if an abductee was in a supposed underground base and had drawn pictures of the layout etc., and that could be correlated if blueprints were found. Some abductees have remembered seeing signs with the name of the facility on them.

Things that are hard to verify are who the personnel are who are seen, although often an abductee will remember a nametag. The bases currently remain unidentified, except by some who have seen signs. Insiders who come forward support these ideas, but their verification of anything is only by their word alone. It can not be determined if they are truthful, or sent as disinformation. Medical procedures are also difficult to check on... virtually impossible to say if it was alien or human intervention at this time. Physical abuse at the hands of the abductors is hard to prove... because normal human life could account for similar outcomes. Military uniforms, equipment, medical procedures and locations may be remembered but that is no proof of their existence. The burden in this instance is on the abductee.

In conclusion, Melinda made the following points. Someone is interested in this besides abductees, researchers and therapists. Whoever it is, is spending time, resources, personnel and money. It is a matter of National Security. The people have a right to know, especially those whose lives have been intruded upon without their permission. Melinda even spoke that at one point, a group brought the idea of the "testing and abductions by military" to Donna Shalala, the 5ecr~tary of Health and Hurnan Services. Since no "informed consent" to do these procedures on abductees was ever obtained, it was a direct breech of the law. There was an investigation started by Ms. Shalala, however is was quickly stonewalled. If there was nothing going on...than why would there have to be a halt to her investigation???

As Melinda's evidence shows, there is a lot going on, and it is an area very ripe for research possibilities. Kudos to Melinda for her own research and for a most interesting and informative presentation.
